Every year Congregation Shearith Israel's Music Committee currently chaired by Mrs. Dena Fein, presents the Small/Waldman/Cohen Signature Series, a spectacular series of musical performances at our south location at 9401 Douglas Ave. These programs are available through sponsorship of the Patron of Arts, Virtuoso, Maestro and Concert Master and are open to the entire Dallas community.

The 2006 - 2007 Small/Waldman/Cohen Signature Series features:

The Vocal Majority® Chorus, under the direction of father and son, Jim and Greg Clancy, offers its listeners an extraordinary musical experience from an ensemble with a global reputation. Its repertoire is as diverse as its volunteer 100+ membership, with a repertoire encompassing music from the classics to jazz and patriotic to sacred, rounded out with standards and Broadway pops.

In its 33-year history, Vocal Majority® has performed in England, Scotland and Canada; for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush; and with numerous ensembles. They combined with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Voices in Harmony and have joined many solo performers in concert. Known for its A Cappella music, the Chorus has also sung with symphony orchestras and other music groups.

The Vocal Majority’s performers continue to delight audiences with their magnificent harmonies. Perhaps their 1996 release says it best: THE MUSIC NEVER ENDS.
