Torah Study Shabbat Morning | 8:30 am Study topics relating to the weekly parsha. Taught by our Klei Kodesh. Tuesdays with Tanakh Second and fourth Tuesdays | 1 -2:30 pm Study session into lesser known sections of the bible. Rabbi Ari Sunshine leads. Women’s Torah Study Wednesdays at Noon Rabbi Shira Wallach, in the fourth year of study, will depart from the weekly parasha and instead study Talmud, using Dr. Ruth Calderon’s A Bride for One Night as a guide. Come enter the world of Aggadah, rabbinic storytelling, to explore questions of power, authority, sanctity, and identity. Newcomers are always welcome to join this holy community of learners. The New Jewish Canon First and third Thursdays | 1 pm Join Rabbi Roffman for a lively discussion of the most provocative and consequential Jewish texts from the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Together, we’ll explore the ideas that some believe will bring Judaism into a new golden age and others believe might be our downfall. Texts will be from the recently published volume, The New Jewish Canon, edited by Yehuda Kurtzer and Claire Sufrin. Buying the book is recommended, but not required.
