Conversion is a sacred journey of exploring Jewish identity, faith, and practice. At Shearith Israel, our rabbis provide personalized mentorship throughout each candidate’s path, offering opportunities for study, spiritual growth, and a deeper connection to the Jewish community. Our candidates typically begin the process with our Introduction to Judaism course, which explores Jewish practice, history, culture, philosophy, theology, and Hebrew.

At Congregation Shearith Israel, our clergy provide a compassionate presence to help individuals and families navigate planning, mourning, and grief with care and dignity. We are here to walk alongside you through every step, offering spiritual support and a caring community during times of loss.
Shearith Israel is proud to be connected to two historic cemetery locations: Shearith Israel Memorial Park on Dolphin Road, the first Jewish cemetery in Dallas, and the Shearith Israel section at Sparkman/Hillcrest.
