If you are seeking a deeper connection to God, meaningful inspiration, thoughtful answers, or the tools to live your personal Jewish journey with purpose – you will find it at Shearith Israel. Membership offers not only spiritual growth, but a rich and welcoming community for you and your family.

Our shul is more than a building – it is a spiritual home. Here, our rabbis serve as teachers, mentors, and compassionate pastoral guides. Our sanctuary becomes your sanctuary. When you join Shearith Israel, you become part of a warm and vibrant community of nearly 1,000 Dallas families who share in Jewish life together.

Membership includes:

  • Rabbinic support for lifecycle events and during times of need
  • Clergy officiation at weddings, whether at the synagogue or another venue
  • A vibrant and engaging Hebrew School
  • Guidance and celebration for bar and bat mitzvah milestones
  • An affordable dues structure ensuring no one is turned away for financial reasons
  • Voting privileges at congregational meetings
  • High Holy Day seating

We invite you to join us for Shabbat or stop by during the week to meet our rabbinic team. Explore our beautiful building and gardens at your own pace, and allow us to answer your questions about life at Shearith. We look forward to welcoming you into our warm and thriving community.

Types of Membership

Membership at Shearith Israel is open to all Jewish people and their spouse/partner and children. People of other faiths may be included in a Family Membership if their spouse/partner is Jewish. Membership spans the one-year period July 1 – June 30.

We are proud to offer three Benefactor giving levels – Supporter, Partner, and Patron. This voluntary structure allows those who are able to contribute at a higher level to help sustain our community and provide support for members who cannot participate at the full dues amount. We are deeply grateful to congregants who choose a Benefactor level and strengthen Shearith Israel through their generosity.

Single member with or without children.

Married couple or two individuals living together in a partnered relationship, with or without children.

Enjoy the best of both communities with one affordable membership. If you are a young adult between the ages of 21–35, the Kehillah Program – a partnership between the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center of Dallas and Congregation Shearith Israel – offers a meaningful way to connect more deeply with Jewish life in Dallas. Participants receive full membership privileges at the JCC, including access to the fitness center and facilities, along with full membership benefits at Shearith Israel. For more information, please contact the JCC Membership Department at 214-739-2737.

For those who belong to several synagogues or live beyond commuting distance of Shearith Israel but wish to remain connected to our community.

If you have been married by one of our clergy members, you qualify for this great membership. Members will receive one complimentary year of membership with High Holy Day seats in Kaplan Auditorium*.

Are you new to the area or under the age of 30? This membership option was created with you in mind. If you are new to Dallas and to our synagogue, you are eligible for this membership for one full year. If you are under 30, you may participate in this program until your 30th birthday. Members are invited to “name their price” and will receive a High Holy Day ticket in Kaplan Auditorium.*

* If you are interested in sitting in a section other than Kaplan, we ask members to pay the difference between the tickets. Please contact Michelle Refoua to learn more.
