Join us as we take a deep dive into the famous story of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai who, after receiving a death sentence from the Romans, spent more than a year hiding in a cave with his son, Rabbi Elazar. What can we learn from this story after a prolonged period of isolation and separation from our community? Shavuot Fruit Donation
To evoke that ancient tradition of bringing the first fruit of the harvest to the Temple in Jerusalem, Shearith Israel will donate boxes of fruit to The Bridge, a homeless recovery center. Our goal is to donate 49 boxes of fruit, one for each day of the Omer. Each box of fruit costs $36. Please donate by Friday, May 14.
