I’m excited to share our learning adventure for this year…. Dirshuni: Contemporary Women’s Midrash (ed. Tamar Biala) has been translated into English through the Brandeis University Press! Each section of the book focuses on biblical context (so we’ll be able to return to Torah, which I know several of you desire), presents the modern midrash, and includes a commentary so we’ll be able to understand all of the nooks and crannies of the text. There’s also a wonderful introduction that I highly recommend—it reflects beautifully on the journey that we’ve taken together, about how important it is to find and insert women’s voices into our tradition. Here is a book review.
I suggest ordering the book now— it may take a little while to arrive. You can buy the e-book or book: here, here, here, here, or here. Study guide: ![]()
