Honor Gifts - Honor gifts are unique ways to memorialize a loved one, celebrate a special occasion, or recognize someone dear to you. A gift such as this might include: A Yahrzeit Plaque, Tree of Life Leaves, or a donation to one of our funds that help support the Weitzman Family Religious School, Family Center, Building Fund, Cemetery, Programming, Kiddush Luncheon or a Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund.
Benefactors - When a member chooses to pay dues at a Benefactor level, the additional funds help provide assistance to those who cannot contribute at the full dues level.
Annual Campaign for Excellence - Shearith receives only a portion of its income from Dues and High Holy Day tickets. Donations made to the Annual Campaign for Excellence assures that no one is turned away from Membership, High Holy Days, Religious School, and Programming because of a financial hardship.
Dedication Gifts - A very meaningful gift may include a Memorial Board dedication, a larger purchase of new Prayer Books or some other major need within the synagogue. These gifts provide lasting opportunities to honor or remember a loved one.
Endowment Fund Gifts to the Shearith Foundation – Endowment gifts provide a meaningful, on-going donation to Shearith, ensuring that the donors’ designated area of support is funded in perpetuity in their name, their family’s name or the memory of a loved one. These funds are part of the Congregation Shearith Israel Foundation and they provide for the current and long-term needs of the synagogue.
