Rabbi Adam Kligfeld, Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles, has spearheaded major efforts to reinvent the prayer experience including both the content and the music of the service.
Netanel Goldberg, vocal artist, composer, creator, writer, tiller of the soil, Lover & a student of life is a countertenor vocal artist who leads sessions of prayer and healing circles around the world.
Netanel will help lead our Shabbat morning service, then Rabbi Sunshine and Rabbi Kligfeld will lead a discussion about how Netanel’s music and style influenced them in thinking of new and alternative ways to approach tefillah in their congregations.

In 2007, Shearith Israel’s beloved Joel Shickman z”l, died from a rare form of leukemia. Joel was a rabbinic student studying with Rabbi Greyber, the two became the best of friends. Rabbi Greyber struggled with grief and faith, following Joel’s death, ultimately leading to writing the book, Faith Unravels: A Rabbi’s Struggle With Grief and God.

Dr. Stoker, Senior Minister of First United Methodist Church, located in the heart of downtown Dallas, has forged strong community partnerships. His passion for equality combined with his research in practical theology and systems theory gives Dr. Stoker a unique and clarion voice in the areas of social justice, advocacy, community outreach and racial reconciliation.
